Beethoven's first piano concerto.

I was just listening in an old recording to Glenn Gould playing this piece . I wonder who wrote the candenza for the first movement. Does somebody know? The year is 1954.

Enrique, I could not find a 1954 recording, but the 1958 recording features Gould's own cadenza for that piano concerto: http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical/...?album_id=6481

It is likely that the one you heard probably utilizes the same cadenza.

It is more than likely. It looked like something the Maestro could not have written, and still it sounded so well.
