      I remembered but wanted to see if anyone else did first! These anniversaries are coming round too fast now - it's not long till the bicentenary of this one and let's hope the Beethoven Reference Site is still going then.

            Well, in 13 years there should be a worldwide celebration of Beethoven! Meanwhile I shall put on some Beethoven to listen to tonight.

              But today is still his day as always. Here are what I've listened today:

              Piano Sonata No.12, Op.26
              String Quintet Op.29
              Archduke Piano Trio Op.97
              Piano Trio Op.70-2
              Piano Sonata No.23, Op.57

                I did not forget. That is a bit hard to do while living here in Heiligenstadt. At least it was a beautiful sunny day here.

                        Unfortunately not. My husband is in hospital so I have been busy visiting him and a doing ton of other things that need to be done before he comes home on Saturday. There are just not enough hours in the day...

                              Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Indeed there are not enough hours to go round, so I'm greatly looking forward to my Easter break from teaching, time to relax, reflect and listen to more music.
