              More Cascade:

              Piano Sonatas Nos. 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24

              It sounds to me like for Nos. 11 and 12, played by Hugo Steurer, the piano is not very well in tune. It may be the way they recorded it, but some notes in particular sound off.

                    Piano Concerto No.23 in A major (2) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on Classic Fm- very relaxing, started off melancholy sounding then the mood went brighter- don't know how he did it- just a few notes it seems and it went bright! Oh now it's gone melancholy again! Never heard this before- love it!

                              Final piano sonata discs from the Cascade set today:

                              Sonatas Nos. 26, 29, 13, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31, 32

                              A rather lame finish. The Hammerklavier was particularly disappointing. I found Daniela Ruso's contributions to the piano sonatas on this set to be some of the weakest, though the final three sonatas were not bad. The best were probably from Mikulas Skuta and Dubravka Tomsic, and of course Richter's recordings were well worth hearing, even though they didn't really fit in with the others due to the relatively poor recording quality and the fact that they were live performances.

                                Moving on to the violin sonata discs of the Cascade set:

                                These recordings are pretty good.
