    Classics For Kids

    This month the radio shows spring from a discussion of Beethoven:

    Keep in mind that these are short vignettes designed to whet kids' appetites for the music. Each week there is a new program and typically the first of the month is the springboard for what follows during the rest of the month.

    Looks good. There also is the Bernstein Young People Concert Series. I don't know how many were for Beethoven works, but he would do a nice talk explaining the musical piece. There is a nice one on Fidelio:

      I have a book with some of the transcripts and a couple of VHS tapes. I liked what he did and wish there were more of that sort of thing these days.
