Hess 13: Romance in E minor

Anyone know the year this was composed?
    Ludwig van Beethoven
    Den Sie wenn Sie wollten
    Doch nicht vergessen sollten

Probably in the second half of the 1780s when Beethoven was in his late teens. This beautiful fragment has become quite popular lately - on Classic FM at least. It was part of a concerto for piano, flute and bassoon and this unusual combination was written for the Westerholt family in Bonn.

It's sad to think that only part of the slow movement remains. However, there is another full chamber piece written for the same family and the same three instruments: the Trio in G major, WoO 37.

Wow, only a teenager when he wrote that...oh I didn't know there was more to it originally...what a shame we haven't got the rest of it. I like hearing music from his days in Bonn.
