Mozart - Sonatas K 10-15 for flute and piano - Gyongyossy/Kemenes
I have always found these early works interesting. They contain that early-Mozart charm (and that is served very well by the performances here), and since they are for violin or flute, piano or harpsichord would be appropriate, and there is an optional cello part, there are a lot of different ways to present them:
Ludwig's Piano Trio- Opus 1, No 3 in C minor- such a masterful energy to it! I love it! That must have knocked people's socks off when it was first heard!!
It still sounds fresh and vital...and yet more people are listening to Miley Cyrus?!
The pop music I am subjected to at Asda sounds tired, this trio is ALIVE.

That reminds me of this quote:
". . . Music is neither old nor modern: it is either good or bad music, and the date at which it was written has no significance whatever. Dates and periods are of interest only to the student of musical history. . . . All old music was modern once, and much more of the music of yesterday already sounds more old-fashioned than works which were written three centuries ago. All good music, whatever its date, is ageless - as alive and significant today as it was when it was written . ." (Peter Warlock)
