    Another Beethoven Marathon

From 7pm on New Year's Eve until 7am the following morning, all twelve episodes of John Suchet's series, "Beethoven, the Man Revealed" will be broadcast on the UK radio channel "Classic FM".

It makes a nice change from Johann Strauss II.

Yes - he does go on a bit about her! But he's still a great advocate for Beethoven (as if B needed one)!

Well he might have been if he had not supported a completely wrong theory about Beethoven and wrote novels that have added some rather unfounded salacious unfacts.

I did used to like Suchet but gone off him a bit now.

I think the pianist John Lill a far better advocate myself.

I have read two of John Suchet's Beethoven books - and am intrigued about the "salacious non-facts". I must have missed that....

          Please elaborate.

Well, I have heard that they include ladies of the night and an affair with Antonie Bretano, they are non facts and quite disrespectful.
