That's a great bit of news, Michael. Only 'minor reconstructive surgery', hey? That's alright, then !!!!!!!!
Nah, seriously, a fascinating discovery that should make this forum rock.
Ah, so it's Hess 137! The article says the accompaniment is "rather fragmentary", but at least the lyrics and vocal line are basically complete.
It looks like all your complete Beethoven editions on CD have just become a little less complete, Michael!
I haven't slept a wink since the news came out.
They don't even feature it on the "Unheard Beethoven" site, which by the way, has had a major revamp. They are gradually replacing all the MIDIs with MP3 recordings.

Good to see someone is visiting the Unheard Beethoven and reading our news! The reason Hess 137 itself isn't on the site is that the song was premiered at the Beethoven Festival in Chicago in September, and the performance was filmed. I've been told that we would get a copy of the video to put on the site but we don't have it yet. Obviously, not much point to making a midi or an mp3 if we're shortly going to have a live performance on the site. Stay tuned.

Your site is a "must", Gardibolt (welcome back, by the way) and it keeps getting better all the time. I really appreciate the amount of work that has gone into it, not only with the actual music downloads, but the sheer amount of information on each piece. I am looking forward to Hess 137!
