Sort of - he's one of the composers like Beethoven who I always return to, but it is I think healthy to have a break from even them! I think you have a different perspective if you come back to a work after a few years having not heard it - I certainly made a mistake I think in my youth of over listening to the same pieces. The worst offender was Beethoven Emperor concerto, primarily because it is my father's favourite piece and he would always have a tape of it playing in the car - in fact he still does, but these days of course it's a CD!

Some of the works that were my favorites, as a young man, I listened to over and over again. Rarely, now do I return to them, but they still remain as favorites. It's always a treat to hear one of them broadcast on the radio.

I can say exactly the same.

                    Debussy:
Preludes (some of the ones from book I).

                          This evening:

                          Stravinsky:

Greeting Prelude (sounded strangely like Happy Birthday!)

Suite Nos. 1 and 2 for Small Orchestra (Both works very delightful and colorful!)

Concerto in E-Flat for Chamber Orchestra, Dumbarton Oaks

                              This morning:

Schubert: Symphony No. 5 in B Flat

The radio came on just after this had started, and though I couldn't place which work it was I was convinced it was a Mozart Symphony.
