    Bach:
Triple concerto for flute, violin and harpsichord

In memoriam Johann Sebastian Bach, whose birthday Sorrano made me remember. A very insipid performance by Concerto Italiano.

Lately Radio 3 has insisted on playing this diabolical version of Justin Bieber's Beauty and the Beast (the original of which I've not actually heard). It's awful, and it's stuck in my head!

The irony of the G. K. Chesterton quote below your post caught my attention.

            Ha ha!

Although, the version is actually done well, but it still sounds cringe-worthy!

La valse, Wagner could have said, "It's the apotheosis of dance" too. Today:

                      Shostakovich:
                      Symphony no.5 in D minor

                      Schubert:
Symphony no.5 (I'm sure there are flats in the whatever its name). The second movement... the woodwinds remind me of Mozart.

I picked a violin sonata too - the C minor, followed by a string quartet, Opus 18 No. 5.
