    Dance with Mandolines.

Has somebody ever heard this little piece from Prokofief's Romeo and Juliet? Is there anything more lively, inciting and brilliant than that in twentieth century music? Here's a link for those who do not know the ballet or dislike 20th century music.

The progressive addition of instruments, in the manner of the Bolero, is one of it's secrets, I think.

    Very nice, Enrique.
Here is some mandoline music from a fellow called Beethoven:

        Acceptable.

(YOUTUBE)...(/YOUTUBE), but let the parenthesis be square brackets. What a pleasant surprise, Michael, to learn from you (perhaps you are a sage if you understand my manner of speech, but I hope you do). The counterpoint thing seems to keep everybody busy.

I have Vivaldi's Concerto in do maggiore per due flauti, due tiorbi, due mandolini, due salmoe, due violini in tromba marina e violoncello. Have you ever heard of such improbable host of instruments, Megan? What some of them can be is a matter of conjecture.
