"Handel in the Strand" was hard enough. Except for the bloody bird adrift. And the Don has muddied the waters with that one!

Q6: The evocative characteristics of Borodin's music made possible the adaptation of his compositions in the 1953 musical Kismet, by Robert Wright and George Forrest, perhaps most notably in the song, "Stranger in Paradise". In 1954, Borodin was posthumously awarded a Tony Award for this show.

Peter's next quiz should contain a sanity clause to prevent us all freaking out.

Scowl indeed for this fragrant breaking of the rules, no credit to you for this one sir! Credit shall be given to the Lady Megan for the mega Borodin hint given yeaterday (all be it in a forgiveable breach of etiquette) and the noble Lord Michael for his gallantry at all times and correct answer by PM!

On second thoughts - I've just noticed the Lady Megan had re-edited my edit of her post and undone my deletions of her clue! So the Lady Megan in an act of treachery falls from grace and the Don will be allowed his victory after all!

Fragrant breaking of rules indeed! You're confusing the word with that bottle of Chablis you've just opened, Herr von Blue Baron!
Glad to see that you've seen sense and offered me the glory I so richly deserve!
Please watch this space for my own Xmas teaser which I shall launch as I do battle with my Xmas menu (see General forum).

You do traduce me dear Baron!
I innocently thought that my post didn't appear for some reason, I saw that it had disappeared not knowing that the the Baron had swooped down in his bi-plane and swiped it!

So, I demand my consitutional rights to be tried by a court of my peers, the Lords and Ladies of the realm, and that the robber Barons have no rights over those of pure blood!

Infamy, infamy, you've all got it infamy!

                    Baah Humbug!

But we all know there is no sanity clause.

Indeed fair lady, but first thoughts were that the lady doth protest too much! However we are of a kindly disposition and your plea for clemency is granted on this occasion but it is requested that in future full compliance with the rules of the BRF inquisition be strictly adhered to.

                        By decree of the BB.

And a preposition is not what you should end a sentence with.

I knew that joke was from a film, but I couldn't remember what it was.
Trust you to find it, Megan!

Sorrano might be away for Xmas, so I'm going to post a pre-Xmas teaser, to test the waters, so to speak. It's open for all. If the BB gets it, I'll pretend not to have seen it. See next posting.
