Suchet is basically an intelligent amateur, nothing wrong with that of course, but then since anyone else on this site could write what he writes, then why should we buy his work above anyone elses.
For a general reader I am sure the book is fine and I wish him every success, but for specialists and ethusiasts I doubt there is much in it.Last edited by Megan; 10-22-2012, 09:07 PM.‘Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom.’

I don't think Suchet is aiming at the specialist market, just the general music lover who would like an entertaining read.'Man know thyself'

He could well have got some facts from BRS, but it would be nice if he did do that and give us an acknowledgement.
