And that fits close to the Strauss waltz, as well.

But "this" is singular, otherwise Peter would have written "these". See, I'm getting into his twisted mind now.

So it's got to be something singular, one thing only: "This" .... What damned one thing do we need for a good song?

This could be a general reference to a group of things, as well. This, for example, apples, oranges, and grapes represents a group for fruit.

But you're 90% there getting Prince Karol as Chopin - the rest should be easy and Quijote really should kick himself hard for not getting the 'retreat in the centre' now!

BTW Your PM is going off at an irrelevant tangent.

All I can come up with is Nohant, France where Chopin spent his final days?

A Chopin Centre? Sounds like Tesco!

I'm surprised this took so much trouble - the Don doesn't know his French geography!!

Actually Chopin didn't spend his final days there - his relationship with Sand broke up 18 months before his death - his final days were spent touring the UK and of course in Paris where he died.

I don't know my geography either and all I got after a struggle was the town and some of my facts were wrong.
Strictly speaking, I should be disqualified.
However, if Peter is considering a monetary prize, then I was spot on!

You were spot on anyway Michael - how you got there doesn't matter, but you provided the crucial facts - Nohant is the main answer. Now it's up to Megan to get the last one to stop you winning again!

Clue: The last one is much more obvious than you all think!

It should - it means the question tells you the answer - obvious!

                              No? Didn't think so!

Michael another brilliant answer that's so good it deserves to be right!
But alas you've got to wait another 12 hours before your next attempt, so the field's open to Megan for an equaliser!
