Vigano, Salvatore. Choreographer of "The Creatures of Prometheus". Probably danced in it too.

(A reasonably acceptable X has just occurred to me. Anyone else - after W, that is?)

W = 'Weihekuss' or kiss of consecration that B bestowed on Liszt after the young boy played and then later transposed at sight the C minor fugue from the Well Tempered Clavier.

        X = 'X' (The Kiss), Op.128 - Arietta for voice and piano.

(Had to get in quick as I thought Michael was just about to steal my thunder...)...

            Y not?

Speaking of which, Y is for Yorckscher Marsch, WoO 18.

                Zero. No inspiration.

                Too tired.

Can you give me a Z, Carol?

(Oh, one arrived just as I posted! Well, on to round 12!

                    A-Z Beethoven Quiz Round 5

A = Adelaide: Op. 46, a song for voice and piano.

Off-topic, are there more Adelaide's than Op.46? I thought there were?
                      - I hope, or I could not live. - written by H.G. Wells

Bridgetower, Charles Augustus Polgreen. Famous violinist - the first to play the "Kreutzer" sonata along with the composer. Should have had the sonata dedicated to him if he hadn't had a silly row with Ludwig.

Did Beethoven write songs about any other Australian cities?

                            Fur Alice Springs to mind.

(How about going to your piano and giving us a C?)

C is for the key of the first Symphony.

And D is for the next one.

(The next one again should be a doddle.)
