Often I look forward to listening to that when I come home from work. Usually I like it with a much slower tempo, though.

          Today:

          Roussel:
          Symphony no.4 in A op.53

I enjoyed 4'33" today at the top of snowdon - though it was more a kind of Cantus arcticus for crowd, birds and steam locomotive over there :-)

By chance I came across a 4 CD set entitled Boulez Conducts Bartok, Scriabin. Last night I listened to the first CD, featuring Bartok's Four Orchestral Pieces and Three Village Scenes. The recordings were very expressive and precise; I very much enjoyed them!

I do Philip. And this 5th book of madrigals is a superb CD, the singing, the work, the recording.

Definitely one of my favorite Gershwin tunes. Was this the piano version from the songbook or a sung performance?

Yes, that was a silly question of mine, wasn't it !!! Bet you though, Chris, that I could name a few CDs that Roehre hasn't got. Shall we start a quiz?

Nah, it's a silly idea on reflection. Wouldn't mind an LvB quiz from time to time though. Any takers to launch one?

Actually, there is one CD I haven't even taken out of its wrapping yet :
Couperin, Harpischord Pieces, Blandine Verlet (Harmonia Mundi, 2 CD set). My question to Roehre would be : should I bother?
