Well, may be you, dear poster in this forum, read music. If you do, you might be interested in knowing there is a facility in IMSLP.org which lets you write down whatever melody you wish and a search engine will list the most probable compositions that match what you wrote. I think you may not know this. It's not very sophisticated, for it won't let you write eleven notes in one beat, for example, but try it with something simple and you'll be surprised. The link is this.

Mine is the 8th printing 1967, not that that matters much! There is an alphabetical list of composers with the opening bars quoted from many works including different movements of the same work. At the back is a notation index with the first 6-8 notes which helps you to identify a piece and also to see similarities between different pieces and composers. For example The lullaby from Strauss's Domestic symphony is taken from a Venetian boat song by Mendelssohn. A Clementi sonata in Bb has the same melody Mozart later used in the overture to the Magic flute - he was reputed to have been in the audience when Clementi had performed the sonata!'Man know thyself'

Indeed it is the same motif, but what did Mozart with this theme compared to clementi! This will alway be my favourite Mozart overture
