Right now I am watching (and listening to) on Austrian TV the Vienna Philharmonic from May 2011 at the Musikverein, Rudolf Buchbinder conducting and performing as pianist Beethoven's Piano Concerto #1. This performance is actually bringing the sunshine out through the gray skies and cold wind that is today's weather here in Vienna.
"God knows why it is that my pianoforte music always makes the worst impression on me, especially when it is played badly." -Beethoven 1804.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, on the radio. I didn't catch who was playing it, but it seemed too slow to me.

listened to a late sting quartet, by Beethoven, arranged for string orchestra, with Bernstein conducting. i believe it was the 3rd mov. of Op. 135 from his string quartet in f-maj.

Aso, have to add - listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. I don't understand how people could not enjoy this music? It is peaceful, and powerful at times, mellow, etc. In all honesty, the only reasons I can think of for not liking PF is that one does not understand there music, they are hateful against PF for their style, etc.?

If someone FEELS very different to Pink Floyd than I would like to know why - and not an excuse, but in all honesty.
            - I hope, or I could not live. - written by H.G. Wells

Listening to this version of the 3rd movement showed me the similiarity of this movement's beginning and that from the awesome Adagio from Mahler's 3rd movement. What do you think?
