              No wonder I've been so tired this morning!

              Typically, once I hear the Bacchanale I will not get that theme out of my head for a day or two, but for some reason it hasn't stuck this time. Maybe I got lucky.

                Yes, I remember playing this in all-county orchestra when I was in high school, and it was so stuck in everyone's head that we wound up playing it in the school orchestra too!

                      You should have finished up with the finale to Beethoven's 7th. Then you could lie down for the rest of the day.

                      I've been listening to a CD of old BBC signature tunes from the 50s and thereabouts. "Barwick Green" would be familiar to the UK members as the theme music from "The Archers" - the longest-running broadcast serial in the world. "Music While You Work" is another tune I heard when I was four. I can be pretty sure about that because I remember the day our old steam radio arrived in the door - some day in 1950. Ah!
