I tried a Rioja with the leftovers, and it was a pretty good match. I think a white might do a pretty good job here, actually - a Pinot Grigio or perhaps even a Sauvignon Blanc. Maybe even something sparkling.
But food pairings aside, I enjoyed this wine a lot! Something different from other wines I usually keep around the house. I look forward to trying this with other meals. Thanks for the suggestion, Roehre.
