Orchestras and conductors in EU

I'm going to Amsterdam at the end of Feb for the Beethoven series there.

Anyone else been to Concertgebouw? any experiences? acoustics?

Anyone have a list of current orchestras and conductors EU that give great performances of LvB's works?

Thanks for that - it looks a very useful site. I've not been to the Concertgebouw but I'm assuming it will be Haitink? Are you interested as well in HIP performances?

Yes it is Haitink. Afterwards they're doing the same shows in Paris but I have to do my annual pilgrimage to be absorbed with Van Gogh and sell some paintings.

Can you explain HIP? I've no idea but the UK is too expensive for me to travel.

Historically informed performance or period/authentic instruments. The Van Gogh pilgrimage sounds fascinating!
