I think some of his finest music is found in the mazurkas - I always return to them, exquisite little gems!

A few years ago I purchased an album of the complete mazurkas and proceeded to play through them. They are completely delightful and created an interest in Chopin that I had not had before.

This year my biggest musical "discovery" would have to be the Mozart concerti, particular the piano concerti.

Some of my greatest discoveries I think are Bach's organ fugues transcribed to piano especially this one (BWV 542):

and the Art of Fugue also transcribed to piano. The piano transcriptions speak very much more to me than the organ originals. In the coming weeks I try to dicovery more of Bach's piano works...

As string quartet it was my first encounter with this work.
Love this more than performances on organ.
