    Well, I guess that sums up the question that was recently asked on the forum about Beethoven's DNA.

    "Everyone expected to hear it in the style of Beethoven but the melody is almost tragic. To me it sounds like somebody fighting, struggling, a really sympathetic melody with a great deal of soul"
    This is what I do not understand? That is Beethoven's life story.

    Also, I imagine what's next is that they (these mad scientists, etc.) will try to make a clone of Beethoven, like they have done with animals- and succeeded. Though, while the clone will look exactly like Beethoven- it will not be Beethoven- because, it will not have Beethoven's thoughts. Therefore, it will not have his MUSIC.

      This strikes me as a complete waste of time. I mean...why?

      And secondly, it wasn't even Beethoven's DNA! It was from people who lived in the region he was from.

        This is pretty outlandish. That's like saying I live in Bonn because NY and Bonn are on the same planet. I guess they needed some grant money....
