    Here is a list I came across. (I don't know how accurate it is.)

    Well, that's a pretty cool list, Michael. Always glad to see Beethoven in the No. 1 spot no matter what!

      It's interesting to see, also, the grouping after the top 100. Some of those belong in the top 100.

        I am both astonished and happy to see Mendelssohn at number 4. This is really amazing! But I can't understand why Brahms is way before Schubert.

          I believe this is called "democratic". There's no accounting for taste, is there?

            It is interesting that Bruckner and Messiaen are in succession. It must be the organ connection.
