What are you listening to now?

Listening to Beethoven's last quartet Op.135, appropriate I think for today (26th March).
    'Man know thyself'

Prompted by you, Peter, I listened to the very last complete movement written by B: the substitute finale to the Opus 130 quartet. This music sounds like it was written by a man in his early twenties, full of the joy of life.

Yesterday it was a bit of Bach, but not the one we usually listen to, rather the 21st and oddest of the sons, P. D. Q.

Appropriate. I meant to listen to it as well, but did not have time. Today I think it shall be Haydn's Stabat Mater and The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross.

Listening to bits and pieces from the "Hall of Fame" programme on Classic FM which takes place each Easter. Listeners vote for the "Top 300 Classical Works." I usually manage to hear some of it each year. It annoys the hell out of me but I have a sort of awful fascination for it.
