Yes. Considering I have been known to forget my girlfriend's birthday, then this date doesn't seem to mean too much (and my gf is still alive...)!
However, I am looking forward to 2027 and the bicentennial, even though by then I'll be in my mid-sixties. But - HEY! - Hang on! - isn't everyone always telling me that the mid-60s were great?!...

I thought the bicentennial was around 2019 or 2020?
The 250th anniversary of his birth will be in 2020 and it should be celebrated just like Mozart's. Beethoven has lost out on bicentennials and whatever since 1970 when the anniversary hoopla wasn't what it is today.
