    "Ireland's National Music Park".

    "Dear Maurice,
Thank you for your email suggesting the Iveagh Gardens as a music park. It is a splendid idea and certainly should not be difficult to achieve given that the park will be opened up to the public as part of the redevelopment for the National Concert Hall.
I will certainly do what I can to support the idea.

    Kind regards,

Not a lot of replies or visits to this thread either, it would seem, Maurice. Allow me to be the first.

Actually, I find your project rather dubious.

      "Dear Maurice,
Thank you very much for your email. I think it is a great idea. What about
including John Field, Michael Balfe, Madame Burke Sheridan etc. You
      certainly have my support.
      Best wishes
      David Norris"

Irish goverment Senator, David Norris, runs the James Joyce museum here in Dublin. An exceptionally well educated and cultured individual. He is often on our TV screens. He runs the annual "Bloomsday" here in Dublin. He's a very funny and colourful man too. What an impressive CV he has! Why not search him out on google.

Philip, I operate on quite a number of Forums and I am accustomed to threads going by the way. But disheartened, I amn't.

Experience has taught me to be as patient as the most skilled angler.

Now get off my hook! I'm expecting an Orca. :-)

Well I congratulate you and am rather surprised at the negative response from Philip who I would have thought would see it as a perfect opportunity for displaying conceptual art.

Thanks Peter. A small section of the Iveagh gardens park can be seen on the video clip.

          Philip, is presently mesmerised. :-)

Well of course, I would be delighted if it were the case, but somehow I don't think so, do you? I'm afraid you have misinterpreted my posting. I am dubious about the idea of "monuments" as a more general principle.

Still, this is exactly the sort of repartee we need to get this thread off the ground, so keep up the good work.

Threads like this one on other Forums were eagerly read. That's what's important. Experience has taught me how to get an idea Internationally acknowledged.

I like sculpture. Dublin is noted for it's bronze memorials especially to our very famous authors.
Recently singers and musicians are being honored too.

Poor Philip will have to miss me for a few days. We will be busy elsewhere. My wife and I.
