Last night I had the chance to see this great pianist play Beethoven's Op. 31 sonatas and the "Waldstein." Wonderful, wonderful playing. He even threw in Bach's Italian Concerto for an encore!
I didn't hear a single note out of place, and he tossed off those octave glissandi at the end of the 3rd movement of the "Waldstein" like they were nothing.
With the exception of one fool who forgot to turn off his cell phone and one cricket that got in the building and decided to give a concert of his own during the second and third movements of Op. 31 No. 1, a perfect evening!
