Today I had to travel to Bonn to do there something for my job (2,5 hours away from my hometown) . I could spend about 3 hours to just walk around in this beautiful city under a cloudless sky. It was such a great experierience to stand in front of the old palace where Beethoven had his first performances

and listen with my MP3 Player to the Eroica - I can't tell you how I felt to hear there the 2nd movement (what I haven't heard for years!) (The Fugato!!!!). I almost had to cry...
After this I went to the Beethoven House. They had PCs there where you could
see the autographs of the Coriolan Overture, Pastoral symphony and the Cellosonata op. 69 and op.53 and listen to them over headphones - awesome!!
Sonata op. 53 : (click on "Klingendes Autograph"!)

At the end I came across a CD shop where they sold a CD Box with all violin sonatas by Mozart for only 4 Euros!!! Long had a been waiting for these ...
On my way back in the train along the beuatiful Rhein valley I listened to one of my favourite operas - Don Carlos - what a wonderful day!!
