A valuable addition the Beethoven cat-alogue.

I guess she's not a fan of period performances...

I believe cats are good for providing catgut for string instruments. Just thought I'd let you know.

And of course, using your beloved feline for such purposes would be rather a cat-astrophe, I imagine.

Hard to know if you're being serious Philip! In any case catgut is actually sheeps intestines.

Speaking of cats, has anyone seen this?

Heidi, I saw this on TV a while back and they referred to her as 'Meow"-zart! How cute! Even though they referred to her with a Mozartian name they were playing Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' in the background! Sometimes my cat comes in to the living room to listen to me play but she has never actually played the piano herself!

One of my cats just loves the piano stool - we're always battling over it and she doesn't take kindly to my requests for her to move. She has also been known to indulge in the odd spot of improvisation!

Pity she doesn't go for the violin. Then she could play pizzi-cat-o ......

My cat likes chord clusters. When I play he sometimes jumps on the keyboard. Otherwise he will content himself with sitting beside me on the bench, listening.

My cats (and my dog) do the same thing. When ever I decide to practice my piano playing, my pets have to join me, sometimes right under my feet. They also enjoy when I put on some classical music. They will wonder in the room and find a comfy spot (usually on the sofa) and take a nap. I did want to tell Terry that I have a black cat too...Miss Molly. She's quite the cat.

My dog used to like to howl along with the high notes when I played the violin.
