    On This Day! The 13th!

I read this today that in 1951 Composer Arnold Schoenberg died in Los Angeles on Friday the 13th and that he was obsessed with the number 13 (his age was 76; 7 + 6 = 13) and lay fearfully in bed all day, dying just before midnight. Wasn't Mahler obessed in the same way? Something with numbers and his age? Any other Friday the 13th stories out there?

Mahler was obsessed with the number 9, as in total number of symphonies and in dying at the completion of his 9th. As it was he left one symphony unnumbered, composed the "9th", then died before finishing the 10th. He should have skipped number 9, ha ha! like they skip floor 13th in some buildings.
