No offence was intended in this thread. I think the forum needed a bit of humour and it just took off. I hope we didn’t appear as a bunch of smug smart-alecs just because we know a bit about Beethoven. There are hundreds of other composers that I, for one, know absolutely nothing about, and I could easily make an unintentionally funny query in regard to any of them. If you look back over past threads you will see all of us posting questions.
Please don’t let all this put you off Beethoven!

Absolutely roche006 - I hope you haven't minded our puns. Beethoven had a damned good sense of humour which many people forget, always thinking of him as this Serioso man in a permanent rage over that penny! (I know we've had that one before!)
