Question about the movie "Copying Beethoven"

Last night I saw some highlights from "Star Wars" and one caught my attention in particular.

In the "bar scene" from the original "Star Wars" movie, a character talking about another character tells Luke:

    "He doesn't like you."

"And I don't like you either."

That sounded like a line from "CB" at the bridge-judging contest.

Was the Beethoven scene intended to evoke that Star Wars theme? Was this Mr. Rivele's tribute to Lucas?

I think I know the part you're talking about. Where Beethoven smashes the bridge, and then the guy says something like, "Make a note - Beethoven doesn't like that one. And neither do I." If that's what you mean, then I doubt it was a reference to Star Wars - just some humor. My Star Wars fanaticism usually lets me pick up the slightest reference to it right away, and it didn't go off at that part
