Dear Peter;
You would be very hard-pressed to find any recordings of Eggert's works. For the past 7 years, I have been fighting tooth-and-nail to change that, but without much luck. Several orchestras and recording companies have expressed interest, notably the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra who have scheduled for performance Eggert's E-flat symphony this autumn.
The Swedish Music Anthology has recorded one of Eggert's string quartets (MSCD 425). The Orchestra of the Hermitage has recorded a single movement (!) of Eggert's C-major symphony (ARTE 7141). If your sound system can still handle LP's, there is a 1985 recording of Eggert's E-flat symphony (SLT 33272)."Is it not strange that sheep guts should hale souls out of men's bodies?"
