    Consecration of the House overture

I own an LvB overture complilation CD, but I never had any idea that it was missing the Consecration of the House overture as I didn't really know of the piece. A while back ago listening to radio I heard it--I didn't recognize it of course but I instantly adored it, and when I found out what it was I somewhat upset. Why wasn't it on my CD? Why not disregard one of the Leonore overtures and put the Consecration of the House in its place? (I STILL btw don't know the difference between No. 2 and No.3, not that I've tried to actively distinguish between them. Any comments on the difference between the two?) Anyway I'm wondering if there's anywhere online I can hear/download the Consecration of the House overture. I just searched the forum and found an old thread on the subject but all the links in it seemed dead.

Which set do you own? There are several good complete sets out there at amazingly low prices!

I also have the double cd of Beethoven overtures that Peter mentioned which has the extra minuets, german dances and contredances. I also noticed, MusicallyInclined, that your cd does not include yet another of Beethoven's overtures which is the Overture in C, Op. 115, "Nameday" (this one is included on the double cd).
"God knows why it is that my pianoforte music always makes the worst impression on me, especially when it is played badly." -Beethoven 1804.
