beethoven: a man ahead of his time

If Beethoven were alive today, he wouldn't have to be embarrassed by his hearing trumpet. He could simply say it's the newest IPOD or Bluetooth device. He'd fit right in with today's scene.

There's no doubt he would have been much better off, but we wouldn't have had the music!

I still can't use to seeing people walking around with those things in their ears, looking like they're talking to themselves.

He might have also been able to have his problem surgically fixed. My sister in law had a similiar hearing problem and had an operation on her ear and can hear fine now.
