While the students at Oxford and Cambridge are no doubt spending the holidays overindulging in alcohol, being hooligans, stumbling into streams and even worse, the refined students at Columbia University in New York City are again honoring the good Cantor of Leipzig with a week-long celebration of his music. WKCR, 89.9 FM in New York City (Columbia University radio) will again in 2006 be broadcasting its yearly holiday-season Bach Festival. The music starts on Sunday, December 24, and runs 24 hours a day, ending Sunday, December 31. This is a non-commercial station, so there are no obnoxious interruptions.
