I'll be going to this concert by the eminent musicologist and Beethoven scholar on August 10. Delightful setting in Ambleside Parish Church. Also on the programme some short pieces by Mozart, Bach and favourite Chopin works.
Seems your following in my footsteps Bernard - I was in Ambleside in 1972! Lovely spot to hear this excellent musician - his books on the Romantics and especially the Classical style are excellent.
