Since it’s the day of love I was wondering which Beethoven piece do you find most romantic? I, personally, think The Pathetique Opus 13, 2nd movement, is one which moves me the most. Words to describe it would be moving, love and tender IMO. Someone once even dubbed it with the name ’More Than Love’. Rather fitting I think.
“Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of mortals...love me - Today -yesterday - what tearful longings for you - my life - my all - all good wishes to you. Farewell. Oh continue to love me - never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.
ever yours
ever mine
ever ours”
