That's not a contradiction. I said that both composers (but esp. Haydn) have compositions in their catalogues that are not written by them, yet this fact alone does not "endanger" the authenticity of MOST of their works. All I meant by the last part was that Haydn probably has more in his catalogue which should not be attributed to him (compared to Mozart to whom vastly more scholarship is directed).
