    AEON Beethoven CD

So, a small question. I'm considering buying the AEON Beethoven-disc, which has recently been released, containing his string quintet op.29 and some shorter (unpublished) works for string quartet. Can anyone recommend this cd to me? Does anyone know for a fact whether it's true that the cd holds premier recordings, which haven't even made their appearance in the DG "Complete Beethoven Edition"? Thanks in advance.

So we meet again, Raro. I happens to know that the CBE includes all of the AEON works but one - yes, the newly acquired quartet in B minor. The recording of it, together with those of one early minuet (Hess33) and LvB's arrangement (Hess36) from Handel's overture to Salomon, are all stated to be their first ever. Other works on this disk are the quintets (Opus29) and (Opus posth.137), the quartet adaptaion of the 9th piano sonata (Hess34), and Prelude & Fugue (Hess30). I am not to recommend this CD since I have not listened to it. / sinc.G.
