    CD club?

I've sent two posts to the CD exchange list, and no response. Maybe nobody wants to respond, or maybe nobody's reading that list, so here it comes again to this list:

I'm no computer specialist, but I can play CDs on my computer, and there's a "click" for me to burn CDs. I could probably figure out how to do it. What say we set up a small group - maybe a dozen people - and once a year I make 11 copies of my favorite Beethoven tracks and mail them (maybe I could email them, with computer advice) to the other 11 people, and they did the same; and once a month for a year we would each receive someone's favorite tracks? Is this legal? Can it be done, and can it be done by someone who isn't very computer savvy?

Well Rod has posted a great deal of Beethoven on authentic instruments ,some really rare selections from all across Beethoven's works list. But not too many people posted their opinions.
I've been away all summer myself and just came to check things out. I haven'tlooked to see what Rod has posted recently.I lost all of the mp3s that I downloaded courtesy of
Niceguyroddy when my computer crashed.Good news though is that now I'm on a cable connection , downloading will be a lot quicker.

I'm not too good with computers either, just not that nerdy ,more the artsy type.

So what are your eleven samples of Beethoven that you would like to discuss?

    Regards

Dunno, I'm just exploring. I have various performances of the symphonies, the piano concertos and violin concerto, all the overtures, I don't much of the lesser-known works. I haven't downloaded anything, I've been buying CDs of what I like. I think an exchange would expand my collection, and I'm curious as to what other people's favorites are.

It was difficult to respond from what you are saying it is diffucult to know where to begin! If you have a writable CD in your drive you can drag files onto the window to copy to disk. If you want to share them it is your business, but on a large scale this activity can get you into trouble potentially, that's why I limit what music i put online for this website.

I thought it would be interesting for a small group of people to share the music they like best. If anyone wants to contact me off-list, I'm at sjwenger@mail.com

Well, as spaceray says you can find my music at this site at the mp3 page, also at my Handel site (see my profile link for the url), help yourself! Also as spaceray has highlighted I am dissapointed with the average level of response at this board regarding the Beethoven music so far, so you are not alone in that respect.
