I was only listening to my Brendel recording earlier this morning, so it's interesting to compare. Brendel clocked in at twenty seconds longer, for the record. The dynamic extremes of this piece come off superbly in this fp recording.

I agree this is a pretty good dynamic account from Komen and the fp adds colour and allows for sharp attack, as usual. In the last movement he could have made it sing a little more, I think his tempo is a shade slow there.

For the record, please bear in mind since the 4th concerto I have been using a very low bit-rate of 56kbps to allow for bigger pieces of music and quicker download times. So the actual CDs sound much (even!) better than these mp3s.
