Oscar, Beethoven's Violin Concert in D major Op.61 was transcribed by Beethoven for Piano and Orchestra. In the 1st movement there is a cadenza for Piano and obbligato timpani that,imo is the high lite of the movement.
There is a recording of this concerto coupled with the Concerto in C Major the "Triple Concerto" on Naxos and another on London coupled with JS Bach's Concerto in D Major for keyboard and strings arranged from his Violin Concert in E BWV 1042
