Having listened to the popular classics over the years I have begun to listen to the Naxos: Best of series on Naxos Radio ( http://www.naxosradio.com ). I have just signed up to the radio station for 12 months, as well as the main Naxos website to hear tracks from over 5,000 CDs. This is an excellent service on the internet and I fully intend to add to my forever growing collection of classical CDs by purchasing music in the Naxos series.
My question to the group is, "how do you rate the Naxos series?"
So I can become more familiar with the various composers, I have decided to collect the Naxos: Best of series. This includes well known composers (Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Bizet etc), as well as the less known (Telemann, Glazunoz, Lutoslawski etc). So far to date my favourite CDs are Grieg, Mendelssohn and Weber.
I'd be interested to hear your views, comments and suggestions on the Naxos series of CDs.
Regards,
Robin
