In classical news this week! Japanese conductor Hiroyuki Iwaki will conduct all 9 Beethoven Symphonies in one marathon 6-hour new years’ eve concert in Tokyo. Every year Beethoven’s Symphony #9 is inseperable from year-end festivities in Japan; but a performance of all 9 symphonies back-to-back is very unusual. Conductor Iwaki says, "Beethoven is Special. I would be happy even if I died during the performance."
