    Reference Sites For Diabelli Variations

    Hello all,

    I'm doing research for a paper comparing Bach's Goldberg Variations to The Diabelli Variations, but I've found that there is a lack of sites dealing with the history and analysis of the Diabelli Variations. Do any of you have any sites or books you could recommend?

    I haven't read them but these two books have detailed chapters on the Diabelli variations that may be useful:

    Late Beethoven: Music, Thought,Imagination
    by Maynard Solomon

    Beethoven: The Music and the Life
    by Lewis Lockwood
