    King,
Odd thing that, and such a pity. The band deserve better. Too bad they don't record for DenonUSA, their venue, the Troy Savings Bank in Troy, New York, has the best ambient sound I ever heard. The chamber music recordings that come out of there are scrumptious!

    Spacerl,
Cool! I bet those fiddles sound great, unless they were recorded in Tooting! Can you imagine DuPort's face when Bonaparte snatched up his cello? I bet he nearly fell out. Geez! Great music you are listening to, the violins et al are a bonus there.

For me, it is the Symphony #3 of Camille St Saëns. The famous Organ Symphony. Very nice, deserving of its fame.

      Linda Nicholson (fortepiano)

      A new piece for me:

It is really late now, I keep hitting all the wrong keys.

Lovely listening from Amalie aswell ..I love the 3th movement of the violin sonata especially,
For me it's been a compilation cd of my parents made one year after my birth in 1987, It includes the ouverture too der zauberflöte, le nozze di Figaro, last movement of the haffner symphony, the 1st movement of the jupitersymphony, Halleluya from exultate jubilate sung by elizabeth hellenberg she also sings the laudate dominum the 1st movement of the 3th hornconcerto in E flat is included aswell as the 1st violin concerto and the fluteconcerto both in D and both the finale

Beethoven's trio op.70 nr.1 *geist* was also on the menu yesterday performed by trio zingara consisting of Annette Cole Piano,Elizabeth Layton Violin and Felix Schmidt Cello...

Later on this evevning it will be der zauberflöte performed by the scottish Chamber orchestra nad chorus conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras, Quite the good record I'd say *it's my only one I'll have too admit that much *

      Regards,

      Ruud

Today is Bach, the one and only, played by Gould, AKA "pedal?-what-pedal?-a-pedal?-where?-who-needs-a-pedal?"

The well-tempered clavier book I and the english suites.

Welcome back! Found yourself some more organ music too, I see. How is the Sunday ritual going? Still keeping it up, I trust? I have some of those Mendelssohn Organ Sonatas, most interesting works. Another oddity I ran across recently is a disk on SONY that you may be able to get, it is their Essential Classics which are available everywhere. Organ Concertos by Haydn and Handel! Cool!

Hey Gurn, yeah, I am back for the moment. Been having some PC problems for some time!! The Sunday ritual is going just fine, thank you - how about you?

I have some of the organ concertos by Handel, haven't heard those by Haydn yet though! Today I listened to the Mendelsohn Organ Sonatas 1-6 and lovely Beethoven 4th piano concerto (Stephen Vladar on Naxos).

I agree with the "no pedal" in Bach. Plus the non-legato playing, you really lose a lot of expression by playing Bach legato!!
