On this day Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute' was premiered in Vienna

That's right in 1791 of which he conducted the first performance! My favourite Mozart and I believe one of Beethoven's favourites too! On radio they will be playing the overture today!

Hmmm... I skipped that on september 26, 1854 Richard Wagner's "Das Rheingold" was completed.
