I hope this might help but I think that you should play it with great sensitivity and humor. Just have fun with it and don't be too serious while playing it. Put a lot of emotion into it. I'm a piano player too and I've learned that unless you play with your heart and pick a memory, thought or something and play with that in your head the piece will sound blah. Chopin is wonderful play it just like he would!
